About the ICSC

  • Announced October 24, 2007, the ICSC was chartered by Studio One Networks and established to develop a center for the exchange of ideas and information in the rapidly accelerating field of Internet content syndication.
  • The founding Advisory Board is comprised of representatives from six companies that met October 2, 2007 to propose a council with special focus on the future of Internet content syndication.  
  • On April 3, 2008, the ICSC formally announced that it had grown to 32 member companies, including such business luminaries as Procter & Gamble, Google, AT&T, and The Associated Press. The announcement included information on the formation of work group committees to help guide the industry in several specific areas: advertising, licensing, measurement, and video. Finally, a white paper is currently in development that will formally define Internet Content Syndication and explain some of its benefits.
